Professional Associations
Professional organizations and associations are great place to get involved, especially if they have a student or pre-health pathway. Sometimes, there are volunteer opportunities that are hosted through professional organizations, or even leadership opportunities. If there is not a way to get involved before you are in OT school, then look to join when you are in school. These professional associations or credentialing bodies are great places to understand employment outlook, find OT jobs, and stay up to date on relevant changes in the field.
