The Health Professions Office is available to all students and alumni of The University of Texas at Austin. However, as Health Professions Coaching is funded through student fees paid upon enrollment, current students are our primary clients.
To promote the success of our recent graduates we will continue to offer all student services free for one (1) full year after graduation. After the full year has lapsed alumni will be eligible for services on a renewable fee basis. If you are a recent graduate or alumni, please email hpo@austin.utexas.edu to make an appointment.
Please note that during the first 2 weeks of the semester our appointments are reserved for only currently enrolled undergraduate students and recent graduates. Alumni of The University of Texas at Austin who are paying for services are more than welcome to make appointments after this time period.
Recent Graduates (Free, Full Services)
Recent UT Austin graduates within one (1) full year from graduation may use all services for free, including scheduling virtual appointments during peak coaching periods. These graduates will receive the same services as current students. Please email hpo@austin.utexas.edu to make an appointment.
Alumni, Prospective Post-Bacc Students & Extension Students (Fee-Based Services)
Who pays for fee-based services?
UT Austin alumni who are no longer enrolled and are more than one year beyond graduation will be charged a fee for services.
- For example, an alum who graduated in the Spring will receive the following Summer, Fall, and Spring coaching services free of charge but will be required to pay for fee-based services beginning one full year after graduation when they want to seek services. An alum who graduated in the Fall will receive the following Spring and Summer and Fall coaching services free of charge but will be required to pay for the fee-based services beginning the following Spring when they want to seek services.
Prospective post-bacc students who seek guidance regarding completion of prerequisite courses at UT Austin (prior to enrollment) will be charged a fee for services.
- For example, a student who completed a degree is now thinking about medical school and would like to talk with a coach about completing the prerequisite courses at UT Austin before actually enrolling; this individual would pay a fee.
Any student enrolled solely in UT’s University Extension courses will also be charged a fee for services.
